Refund Policy
At John Opticians, we understand that occasionally a purchase may not meet your expectations, and you may wish to return it for a refund. We aim to make this process as smooth as possible.
Conditions for Returns:
Original Condition: To be eligible for a refund, the item must remain in its original condition. This means it should be unworn, unused, and undamaged, with all tags, labels, and packaging intact.
Timeframe: You must initiate the return process within 14 days of receiving your order. We recommend that you notify us as soon as possible if you wish to return an item.
Prescription Eyewear:
Prescription/Customized Lens Eyewear: Please note that prescription or customized lens eyewear is not applicable for exchange or refund unless they are defective or damaged upon arrival.
Adjustment Period: Allow 7-10 days for prescription eyewear to adjust to your eyes.
Sunglasses & Frames:
Must be Unused and Unworn: Sunglasses and frames must be in an unused and unworn condition with their original packaging
Contact Lenses:
Unopened Boxes: For contact lenses, the box(es) returned must be unopened and in the original condition. We do not accept returns if the box has been opened or tampered with.
How to Request a Refund:
Contact Us: Please reach out to our customer support team via WhatsApp or phone call at +918779052204 or email us at johnopticians@gmail.com to inform us of your intention to return the item.
Return request: Our support team will try to make your return process as smooth as possible. Once your request is approved, carefully pack the item in its original packaging.
Choose your return method: As we do not have our own delivery system, we rely on trusted delivery partners like BlueDart, Delhivery, and others.
You have two options for returning the item:
- Reverse Pick-up: If you opt for reverse pick-up, there will be a nominal cost of Rs. 150 associated with this service. This amount will be deducted from your refundable deposit if we initiate the reverse pick-up from our end.
- Self-Shipping: Alternatively, you can choose to ship the product to us yourself. Our address for self-shipping is: John Opticians, Ground & First Floor, Shanti Niketan Building, DK Sandu Marg, Chembur, Mumbai, Maharashtra-400071.
Processing Your Refund:
Inspection: Upon receiving the returned item, our team will inspect it to ensure it meets the return conditions.
Refund: If the item is approved for a refund, we will initiate the refund to your original payment method. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to be processed. Note that the time it takes for the refund to reflect in your account may vary depending on your payment provider.
Exceptions:
Non-Returnable Items: Certain items, such as personalized or custom-made eyewear (except for defects or damage), may not be eligible for return.
Responsibility:
Returned items are your responsibility until they reach us. As such, ensure they are packaged securely to prevent damage during transit.
Exchange an item:
After they have been received by us, all returned items will be refunded within 3-5 business days.
Need a different style or colour? Just place another order!
Received a Damaged Item:
We’re sorry! We pack with care, but exceptions can happen.
Contact us within 48 hours with your order number and a picture of the damaged item. We will make arrangements to ship you a different item if you'd prefer that, or we'll refund your money within 14 days.
